Forgiveness of Offense
Members are participating in the DeadBeats USA system because they see value in the mass sharing of information between businesses regarding deadbeat customers’ bad habits. It makes them and all participating businesses able to protect themselves by whatever means they feel appropriate, from the various pitfalls associated with interaction with the reported offenders. In as much as DeadBeats USA acknowledges that any offense should be forgivable, membership would be of no value to any member if data on an offense were posted on the data base, then the offense quickly forgiven and the data removed. Such action would only leave the rest of the membership vulnerable to predation by the same offender.
In regard to offense forgiveness, members have three different levels of forgiveness to choose from. These range from simple acknowledgement that an offender has made amends with the affected business to total deletion of the data report from the DeadBeats USA data base.
